  • You may choose to disable the add to cart function and have the enquiry feature if you would like to list your product or service as a catalogue

Receive orders and sell your product / service

  • You will receive notifications when orders or any customer enquiry comes in.
  • Pack and prepare your products for delivery.

Ship your product to the customer

  • Ship your product to customers as per your shipping policy and stated delivery time.
  • We recommend delivery using trusted couriers so that both you and customer can track the order.

  • Get payments instantly once an order comes in (if using paypal) or during delivery / collection. Spread the word and get your customers to review to grow your business.
  • Do revert to your customer enquiries and/or fulfill your orders on time.

All businesses, whatever their size, should have a carefully considered customer care plan and treat it as a core value.

Affordable, transparent, and secure

  • Vendors can enter their paypal details and when order comes in, it will be paid directly to their paypal account. Customers may also opt to pay via other payment methods like Bank Transfer, Cash.
  • We are allowing only one vendor checkout at the moment to simplify orders. (A customer can add to cart items only from 1 vendor at any one time. He cant check out at the same time a cart with items from multiple sellers). We are having this feature for now as it simplifies orders and also allows vendors to be paid directly.
  • However, we may roll out stripe split pay at a later phase so as to allow customers to add to cart items from multiple vendors and checkout.
  • We will use PayPal, an external payments platform that allows you to process transactions with a variety of payment methods. Paypal charges processing fees of around 3 to 4% on sales.


Here are some common questions about selling on IndianBazaar

How does payment for orders work on IndianBazaar?

To simplify orders, we are now allowing only single vendors checkout. Which means that customers are not able to checkout items from multiple vendors at the same time. This helps to simplify orders and vendors get payments instantly paid to their paypal account.

On a later release, we will roll out stripe which will allow multi vendor checkout. The details of this will be revealed at a later date. For customers paying via bank transfer or cash, please co-ordinate directly with your customers to complete the orders. You may access order details from the Seller Dashboard.


What do I need to do to create a shop?

It is easy to set up a shop on IndianBazaar. Create an indianbazaar account (if you don’t already have one), set your shop location, choose a shop name, create a listing, set a payment method (how you want to be paid), and list your products for sale.

How do I get paid?

If you accept payments with PayPal, funds from PayPal sales on IndianBazaar will be deposited into your PayPal account. We encourage sellers to use a PayPal Business account and not a Personal account, as personal accounts are subject to monthly receiving limits and cannot accept payments from buyers that are funded by a credit card.

Do I need a credit or debit card to create a shop?

No, a credit or debit card is not required to create a shop. To be verified as a seller, we will get in touch with you with the details required.
